Quaratine Blog 2

More updates on my sanity during these hard times:

07/05: I've been alright as of lately; I started writing a story for a school assignment and I read T.S. Elliot's "The Wasteland", which I really loved. My new kitten has been eating so much lately, I think he might get chubby lol. Anyway there isn't much going on this week.

11/05: I think I have writers block, can't bring myself to write my story, It's quite frustrating tbh. My kitten is indeed getting chubby, but he's also growing a lot, and my other cats are starting to get along with him. I read a Sci-Fi story called "I Have No Mouth And I Must" scream, and oh dear it's disturbing af. But it's still a great read.

29/05: Ok it's been a while since I updated this blog (I gues I'll be posting a bit less regularly now. My kitten got a type of skin fungus, nothing serious, we already gave him medication and it's starting to heal. I'm not feeling well lately, I think I might be getting anxious or depressed again; my writers block continues, even though I did make some progress, I don't feel like reading anymore... Maybe its the end of the semester that's stressing me out.

04/06: Finally the online classes are over! I feel so much better because of it, and because my grades were ok. My kitten is much better and his fur is already growing back over the infected area; same with my other cat that also got the fungus. I went back to reading Emile Zola's Thérèse Raquin (I had to stop because of required reading), even though Realism is not usually my thing, but I like to read something different from time to time. It's getting much more interesting now, because I'm getting past the excessive exposition of the few first chapters.

26/06: I've been alright as of late, but still a bit bored because of the lockdown and stuff. I abandoned Zola's novel, it's not that the book is bad, but I guess this style of down-to-earth Naturalism isn't really for me. I decided to read Kafka's The Metamorphosis yesterday, I'm already half way through (it's quite short tbh), that's more of the insane dreeamy stuff I tend to like. I also watched Dr. Strangelove this week, it was quite funny, even if a little difficult to follow, certainly loving the bomb after that lol.

27/06: So I was searching through some old files and I found this picture of a drawing I made about a year ago, so I thought it was fitting to post it here. I forgot the actual drawing at school and it's probably in a storage room somewhere. It was inspired by Brontë's Wuthering Heights. https://i.imgur.com/JtEcVZs.png

07/07: Here I go again writing this bloody blog, even though nobody reads... Anyway, I visited my with my dad grandparents a few days. I know it's silly but they really missed me, and a bit of kindness doesn't hurt. We playes Canasta and Dominoes, chatted a bit; I was glad to see they were ok. I started reading Brave New World last week (I had actually started it some ago but never got past the first chapter), I'm liking it despite a few disturbing moments. Despite all that I think I'm getting sad again. I've been thinkning about some lines from a poem I really like, "This is the way the world ends / Not with a bang but with a wimper" it just reminds me so much of today's world.

Quarentine Blog

Hello and Welcome to my quarentine blog updated weekly to keep track of my sanity:

22/03: Meanwhile I'm still my normal autistic self, I do miss my bf a bit and my friend (we didn't have time to get very close since we where both very busy with work and a bit socially awkward). I've been reading ("Othello"), playing games (93 realms and Tetris), and watching tv (especially the original "Twilight Zone") to pass the time.

28/03: My sanity is still alright (by my standards at least) and I continue doing much of the same stuff as last time, it gets quite monotonous and sometimes feel bored. My first week of online classes was alright though I did have some tech troubles, but I at least my kitten gave me company as I studied! I've decided to do a myspace survey cause why not!!

05/04: I'm really pissed at my Social Studies teacher, he knows we're in a shitty situation and he gives us a bloody research project, so I have to waste more time and energy into that pseudo-humanitarian leftist bullshit class of his!! I also had some really vivid dreams these last few nights, Friday I dreamed that my Persian cat was still alive (he died about a month ago), it was rather happy, but I cried so much when I woke up. Anyway, I'm almost done with my book (only 20 more pages), I'm liking it but the play format bothers me a bit, and I watched a movie this moring called Scum, it was good, but very sad.

11/04: I'm getting kind of sad and lonely, I might be getting into a little bit of depression. It's been very difficult to manage my responsabilities with the online classes, and that's really pissing me off. I had a lot of difficulty sleeping last night and I woke up at 1:00 pm today!! I also had this really fucked up dream... Well I've decided to write a blog on favorites and things I like because that usually make me feel better.

19/04: When is this going to end?! I feel so... AHHHH! Anyway, I started reading "Thérèse Raquim" by Émile Zola this Wednesday, 'cause it's been a while since I've read anything French and reading usually lifts my spirits. Apparently i'm now required to do Phys. Ed. online class (as if I wasn't required to do enough online classes in the first place) and I have so much late work... I started having full conversations with myself (lmao). Anyway I eventually decided to revisit Trollbox, and I had fun encountering some old friends.

23/04: I know it's not protocol to blog on thursday but I really have to get this out of myself! Anyway this night I had trouble sleeping and I had this terrible nightmare that someone in my family (that I love very much) was raped. I luckily don't remember much detail other than that but by god was it scary and terrifying! I woke up sweating cold.

26/04: I can't believe it but i got a new kitty!!! After all these terrible can bereavements I've had over that last year (2 from old age, 2 because of that rabid beast my neighbours call a dog that still deserves to die the most paiful death imaginable!) one of my mum's friends said that she had a litter of kittens she was giving away and asked us if we wanted one. I was a bit reclutant at first (I still feel a lot of guilt for the death of my Persian cat, that has been with me ever since I was 9 years old until that fucking dog...) but we decided to pick one up, he's a cute little tabby, longhaired with a white belly, only a month old. We were having trouble deciding the name, but I think we'll settle with Pan.

03/05: I'm really loving my new kitten! He loves lay on my lap and snuggle me :) and he's great company for my online classes, he also sleeps with me at night. I also broke the monotony this weekend; I went out to lunch with my dad, since I havent seen him in a while. I'm also reading some nice sci-fi stories for school; Nightfall by Isaac Asimov (required) and The Colour Out Of Space by H.P Lovecraft (my choice).

Short Story

I have now completed what is probably the final version of my horror story. It's been almost a year of work, now and I'm very happy! I hope to be writing new things soon. I have it published on google docs, and I'm thinking of submiting it to creepypasta
