Zip's work often focuses on expressing the instability of existence; the way people become entirely new individuals from moment to moment. In Zach's view, each version of you is constantly slipping away and away; sometimes a version seems to pop back, but eventually each version will slip away forever and- poof! Just like that, some version, some part of you is gone. This view that the human mind, like the universe, is unable to maintain its previous states over time is expressed throughout Zach's work, which often contains a delicate balance between primitive structures and dense decaying remnants of complexity.
