However, while I'm happy to chat, I'm mostly here to appreciate all the great pages and artwork; I love creativity and seeing that Internet culture is alive and well. Beyond my appreciation of the website and its community, though, I'm a pretty to-myself person, so there's absolutely nothing personal if I'm not super engaging or talkative. For as much time as I've spent on the Internet, it has typically been as an outsider looking in so I've never really had digital friends. I'm not opposed to it, just not actively looking for that. Again, I'm happy to chat.

I like history, music, politics, Fallout: New Vegas, social justice, running, empty buildings, Appalachia, and my friends. Two friends died in 2015 and I have been different ever since; I think about them everyday and hear them once in a blue moon.

What you see, read, and maybe hear on this page is what I, a mostly-rural Southerner, grew up with on the Internet. You might see emo, cybercore, webcore, soft-grunge, the shit Odd Future was doing between 2009 and 2013, whatever you call melanciaradioativa.tumblr.com, and all kinds of other shit that tickles me at any given point. If I refer to something as the wrong thing, my apologies. I'm a dumbass. I don't really know what I'm talking about when it comes to Internet art, I just know that I love it.

LGBTIQ+, POC, and other similarly marginalized communities are welcome on my page while trolls and the like will be blocked. Fwiends, projects like this are havens, places where we can go to remember and hopefully relive those cherished times of the adolescent Internet. That being said, while we may wish to recreate our memories to the fullest, let's leave out the parts that were unfairly exclusionary, damaging, and shameful. Racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, overzealous gatekeeping, and other harmful beliefs, systems, and practices should be left in the past.
