The Builders Blog

Brick Shelf is a website where lego enthusiasts could show off pictures of there lego creations… im not sure when or how i found this website but it seems the peak of its use was from 2000-2016. On this site there is a random button that will show you a random assortment of picture folders and man… these pictures are really something they have made me think about so much… one of my favorites is this

Taken July of 2006; Why is he shirtless? Why is there a bowl of chili? Did he really need to take a picture of his lego boar head so urgently that he had to stop eating his chili but had no time to put a shirt on?
The color of this photo is marvelous too. The way the reds bled together, his other red creations in the background, his sunburnt skin, the half eaten chilli sitting in its bowl, the browns of his hair having a similar sheen to that of the wooden wall behind him.

Another thing i love to see is the way people's rooms looked back then

The decorative wall hanging of what looks like a basket cover or something? lemme know if you know. I'm not sure what the game on the computer is but it might be garry's mod but i don't know the date of this one.The impressive figure is standing on a cardboard box with some sort of psychedelic bandana, being lit up by a small desk light and accompanied by a pole running through the room. Not really the best place to put a desk but hey waddaya gonna do?

Not really much to say about this one but i like the creative use of the computer

This is the oldest picture I have from brickshelf, it's from the 2001 brick fest. The huge pile of legos just sitting on the floor for people to just sit down and build with is such a strange but understandable thing, like this is where you would make friends with someone you’d never see again

Something about this one… the brand new cardboard poster for the prequels the insane lego space ship the grass and asphalt outside, the white shining sun so bright no light is needed... beautiful

Another brick pile picture, unknown year. The way there are so many people gathered around this pile of legos sifting through it looking for the coolest looking pieces. It looks like you can keep what you can fit in the plastic bags they are holding.

Mrs ohio 2005
Oh man this pic. “Congratulations on winning Mrs Ohio 2005, now stand in front of Lego downtown cleveland for a picture”

Matt and Chris showing off something?, BrickFest Washington DC
Just two bros chillin at BrickFest

This awesome classic looking mansion that i had on my page for quite a while i love this design so much

Heres a few more i just wanna show off

All these pics its so fun to find old pictures and you can really just get the vibe on em ya know like there so… powerful? Idk i just love to be a creep and look at peoples old houses its kinda nostalgic to me
