I've been thinking of this for a bit now and want some other opinions! As a student going through school online, I've heard that some of my peers have been struggling with social problems like forgetting how to talk to people and becoming a hermit. Personally, I haven't been struggling at all. During this whole period, I would say that I gained more confidence throughout the year. Be it because I don't see many people besides my parents or the occasional friend here and there for hangouts, but my confidence shot up from being low to being able to flaunt in public without being worries. Don't get me wrong. When I push it, I know when to calm down but I have more of an open personality.
Being home doesn't really kill me like some students have said. To be honest, I kinda prefer being home, but not at the same time. One of the periods I hated the most was P.E. I tend to sweat a lot at the most minimal temperature fluctuation and I hated to be seen so sweaty; plus most of the activities were boring. At home, I get to play Just Dance and have fun while burning calories.
Also, I get more sleep than when I was going to school in person. I live about 30 mins away from my school, so I would leave around 6:30 and get there at 7 ish and get home around 7pm. I had a lot of stress from that, but my new schedule is so nice! Wake up at 7:30, use 10 mins to wake up, set up my stuff for the day, and wait until 8:15. I could take time and do the salsa if I wanted to and not be late to my meetings, its bliss, but every good thing has its downsides.
Although I prefer to be home, I will say that I picked up some bad habits from it. I get distracted easier than when I was in the classroom and don't finish my work until the last minute or turn them in late. The only class that I'm really taking seriously is probably P.E since I get to dance for a bit. My other classes are easy for me, but I just don't have the motivation to do them. I'm passing my classes, but I could do better.
I wanna hear from you guys! Please tell me your experiences with all of this so I can see how it is for everyone else. (Sorry this sounds like an essay lol)
