insane to me to see this renewed interest in riot grrrl. the initial movement certainly has its flaws, but it did have quite a big impact on a smaller rufus.

also riot grrrl bands tend to have a certain diy aesthetic to them. ppl tend to label any girl punk band as riot grrrl and it's not right to me
i feel like there are many bands that get classified as riot grrrl that i don't necessarily agree with. to me, a band is riot grrrl if they have a punk/indie rock sound and focus a lot on feminist topics.
