Self Expression Is Important

Women and men should not be slut-shamed for their attire. Attire is a way to dress ones body in a way that makes you, a) comfortable, and b) expressive and as your true self. Adults (and some kids) enjoy making rude remarks on the appearances and attire of the youth, which personally, I believe is absolutely wrong. In my day-to-day life, personal expression is something that brings me joy, as well as is very therapeutic to me. If my attire was suppressed, I would not be able to show my inner self, as well as I would not feel comfortable in public. No matter how "obnoxious" or "slutty" an outfit is, it is no one's business except for the wearer. Unfortunately, society is a place that is extremely judgmental of appearance and attire, as well as some clothing items are not "safe" to wear in public (I don't feel comfortable on elaborating there). As long as the wearer is not harming anyone, then they should be able to wear whatever they please. Not everyone dresses for the approval of others. For me, I dress for myself and for my expression that I am feeling on the day of. For some reason, plenty of people seem to think the opposite, that style is used for the approval of others and not the wearer. This is simply not true for all cases.
They say you can tell a lot about a person by how they dress, which I believe is true, but also a stereotype that does not apply to all. Think before you comment on someone's outfit negatively, free expression, free love and don't body shame! <3
Thanks for listening! XOXO
