Mistakes are the first step to doing better. Come away from every failure with a little more experience, build on yourself as you go. There can and always will be another chance, or at the very least, something else to do. You don't even have to 'do', as long as you keep trying and keep learning, you're bound to make it somewhere. If a task is truly impossible, you'll learn that there are better things to be doing with your effort. As long as you are learning something, keep trying; if you aren't learning anything from failing anymore, then approach from a different angle or try something else.
